Great CL (June 2017)

This CL sets the standard that all CLs ought to aim for. The site is well laid out with nice levelhard standing pitches set in well cut grass. Waste & recycling facilities. Separate water point aswell as shared points on pitches. Great welcome from Tim on arrival who talked us through thefacilities and what there was available to see locally. Nice touch of an "information hut". Reallyenjoyed walks in Bradgate Park just over the road. Lots of walks from the site including a few tosome very nice pubs. A little road noise but not obtrusive. Great outlook over fields andwoodland.

July 2017

Very Nice Site . Well kept site with a very friendly owner who was very helpful with arrivalarrangements and offered good local knowledge. The position , opposite the entrance toBradgate park, is excellent and offers great walking opportunities. We will definitely return.

Just Perfect (April 2015)

This was a real gem, a very friendly and helpful owner who met us on arrival and explained the places of interest nearby, a nice flat site with room to move about in, and right on the doorstep was the lovely Bradgate park which was just waiting to be explored, then there was the woods with bluebells just coming out, which was accessible from the site, this was truly a very pleasant stay and we will make sure that we pay another visit to this site.

Lovely Corner of the Countryside (October 2015)

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the weekend at your CL. It’s a lovely spot and ideal for walking. Thank you for letting us share your corner of the countryside with you!

Kind Regards

Campervan visit (July 2016)

Extremely well run site in an excellent location. Very welcoming & informative owner. Footpaths directly from site, Bradgate Park across the road and Bridleway to Swithland Wood just outside entrance. Adjacent B&B run by same family had good report from friend staying at same time. Spacious level site with water at each electric point. Some car road noise but not intrusive.

Great Site (August 2016)

Absolutely brilliant site. Mr Jee, the owner is the most attentive of hosts and meets you when you arrive. The site is in a lovely location with miles of great walking through Bradgate Park and the Charnwood Forest right from the gate and the city of Leicester only ten minutes ride away. Being surrounded by forest night time was brilliant with peace and quiet and the most amazing starlit nights, perfect for moonlit walks or just sitting outside staring at the skies with the obligatory beer and wine. Could find absolutely no fault at all with the site and we will most definitely be returning here time and time again.

Perfect weekend (August 2016)

Have just spent Aug bank holiday weekend here.  Lovely clean well kept site and extremely easy find.   On arrival phoned owner who arrived promptly with information and advice on area etc.  This personal touch was very welcoming.   Surprisingly although this was a bank holiday weekend and almost opposite a Bradgate Park entrance and car park, noise was not a problem and barely noticeable. Would definitely return. Thank you to the owners for their hospitality and thoughtfulness.

What a beautiful little site (September 2016)

We have just returned from a short (2 night) stay at Bradgate Caravan Site. After visiting friends in the area. This site is a hidden gem. Tim met us on arrival and was so helpful, giving us lots of information on things to do and see in the area. We felt guilty for not actually having the chance to do any of them due to other commitments but will definitely return! The site is in a lovely and peaceful setting, Great pitches, nice and quiet apart from some road noise. very spacious and secure. We liked the fact you need a code to get in and out. Access is easy from the M1, but follow the CC directions and not SATNAV as it will try bring you another route. Thanks you to Tim and family for a pleasant stay and we hope to see you again soon.

Great site

We stayed here for a few days whilst attending a track day at Mallory Park. It's a great little site, friendly welcome and very easy access. Explore this part of Leicestershire - great countryside and lovely quiet villages. It's across the road from Bradgate Park which is lovely for a walk. All in all the nicest CL site we've stayed on.

Delightful CL (May 2017)

We spent a couple of nights here enroute to Yorkshire and would like to have stayed many more-we will be back It was lovely to wake up on a sunny morning and see a field full of cattle staringat us from behind their fence! It is a lovely well run site and very welcoming. A real plus is beingable to walk across the road and explore Bradgate Park and the dogs loved it!

Great level site, loads of space with huge country park opposite (July 2017)

Tim was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about local attractions/walks. The wifi was a bigbonus and worked perfectly. The information hut and maps were very useful. Bradgate park is agreat place to explore with numerous walks with deer wandering everywhere. Stoneywell is agreat National Trust site close by well worth a visit

Great place for a short break in Charnwood (July 2015)

We stayed here for 3 nights. For gentle rambles there were lots of options clearly marked in the information hut onsite. Bradgate Park is literally across the road.  The site and its facilities were well presented and easy to use. Tim was a most attentive and friendly owner. We had a lovely meal at the Griffin Inn in Swithland, as recommended, which was only 5 minutes away by car.

Will definitely be back! (October 2015)

We used this site as an excuse to have a quick weekend away as we only live 1/2 hour down the road. The welcome on arrival was great, as well as an information pack that was emailed prior to arrival we were greeted by Tim, the owner, who gave us a comprehensive briefing on walks, pubs and everything else. The location is fantastic, being bang opposite one of the car parks for Bradgate Park, you can walk to your hearts content amid the trees and the deer and the nearest pub is only a 15 minute walk up the road (there are several out of the back of the site over the footpaths also). The site itself has 5 hardstandings, electric, elsan point and an information room, there is a little road noise but nothing to cause concern. The only downside is that it doesn't open all year, Christmas on this little site with a walk in Bradgate on Christmas morning would be a wonderful experience. All in all, we will definitely return when it re-opens in 2016, can't wait!

Congratulations on your site (August 2016)

Hi Tim

Just wanted to say thanks for the few days we spent on your site last week.

You've got a fabulous little site there and we absolutely loved it. We will be back again soon! It has to be the best CL site we've ever visited. Congratulations on what you've achieved.

Best wishes

John & Roz

Friendly Site (August 2016)

We stayed here for a few days whilst attending a track day at Mallory Park. It's a great little site, friendly welcome and very easy access. It's close to the road which can be busy - hence only the four stars - but don't let that put you off. Explore this part of Leicestershire - great countryside and lovely quiet villages. It's across the road from Bradgate Park which is lovely for a walk. All in all the nicest CL site we've stayed on.

We’ll be back soon (August 2016)
