Horseshoe Cottage Farm

Tim and Linda Jee, the owners of Horseshoe Cottage Farm, provide a warm welcome and are well known for their generous hospitality and quality of food. Guests are treated as friends.

Locally sourced produce is used and many of the vegetables come straight from the kitchen garden.

Dinner is served in one of two dining rooms and is an occasion not to be missed. Outside visitors are welcome to join guests for dinner with prior notice. Linda’s free range eggs and home made bread and preserves ensure breakfast is a feast. for those not wishing to dine with us, we can recommend some excellent restaurants close by, including The Woodhouse.

The accommodation comprises three en-suite double rooms, two with king size beds and one with twin beds. All three are furnished to a very high standard and all have exposed oak beams and original features. One room is on the ground floor so is suitable for guests wishing to avoid stairs.

Visitors have the use of the elegant drawing room and for cooler evenings, a log fire will be lit in the inglenook fireplace. In the summer, dinner may be taken on the terrace overlooking the garden and fields beyond. Overnight stabling is available for guests wishing to bring their own horses and ride through Leicestershire’s famous hunting country.

There is a meeting room for our business guests which seats up to eight people. All sessions in the meeting room are tailor made to suit individual requirements. On arrival, guests are made welcome with tea or coffee and home made biscuits. Also included in the price are home made scones or cake which are served at teatime in the adjoining dining room or on the terrace in summertime. Home cooked lunches are available as an additional extra upon request.
