Guests may check in after 4pm, but no later than 10pm on arrival date.
When departing, guests are asked to vacate the room by 11am.
Unfortunately, we do not accept pets in the house other than guide dogs.

Damage to fixtures, fittings and furniture may be charged to a guest’s bill at the owner’s discretion.
We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract. In the event of cancellation or curtailment of your stay with us, we reserve the right to make a charge (see below). If we are unable to re-let the room we reserve the right to charge for any financial losses we incur. We therefore advise you to take out insurance cover against cancellation or curtailment.

Car parking is within a secure, secluded courtyard, completely unseen from the road and with ample space for trailers. Access is controlled by elecric gates. On arrival please use the intercom to gain access.

full recycling programme is part of every day life at Horseshoe Cottage
Farm. Locally sourced meat and produce are used and the compost helps
to grow wonderful vegetables in the kitchen garden. Solar panels have
helped reduce our electricity bill by 59%. Energy saving bulbs have
replaced the higher wattage ones throughout the house where
appropriate. Showers are installed in all bathrooms. View or download

There are many excellent cycle routes in and around Charnwood Forest. As well as literature and maps, our own local knowledge can be used to plot routes to suit every level. Bikes can also be hired locally.
Horseshoe Cottage Farm is an ideal base for walkers, situated opposite a large country park and adjacent to Swithland Woods in The National Forest. Visit www.walkinginleics.co.uk for some great walk ideas.
There is a bus stop within a mile of Horseshoe Cottage Farm and we can collect or drop off if pre-arranged. Details of bus and train routes are available upon request.
