Horseshoe Cottage Farm is an ideal base for walkers, situated opposite a large country park and adjacent to Swithland Woods in The National Forest.

There are many walks you can take from the site. Charnwood Geopark is also on our doorstep for a Fossil Foray.

We encourage walkers and cylists to stay at Horseshoe Cottage Farm and provide them with the facilities to enable this including:

Maps with marked routes and places of interest to borrow or copy onto phone;

There are many excellent cycle routes in and around Charnwood Forest.
As well as literature and maps, our own local knowledge can be used to plot routes to suit every level.
Loughborough Farmers Markets
Loughborough Farmers market is held every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 10-2.30pm.
The weekly markets are on Thursday and Saturdays. Leicesters covered market is open every day.
Local pop up markets can be found in the local villages which are very handy.
There is one in Cropston on a Friday morning at the Bradgate Arms pub.
